PUMbeeri [spinning top]
Inspired by an Aboriginal design from the early 19th century, the PUMbeeri is made out of a single piece of wood, coloured with a lac resin
Its shape, rhythm and balance in design reflect a strong connection for the Designer to the dance of the spinning Sufi Dervish, whirling like a compass pointing to the Divine… holding its ground with smoothness and simplicity.
